Route
How the trail goes.
Mirik hills are gentler than Kurseong, with friendlier gradients and rounded hill tops. The route starts at Okayti Tea Estate, four kilometres from Mirik. It climbs the Mirik to Pashupati road, passes Gopaldhara Tea Estate and the Golpahar Viewpoint, and ends at Gufapatal. Gufapatal sits on undulating meadows surrounded by flower beds, with the Mechi valley below and the Himalayan peaks in the distance. It is technically across the Indo-Nepal border. Guests must carry a valid Indian ID. Plan as a half-day or full-day with a packed lunch.
